Apnea - Il virus siamo noi
Quello che stiamo vivendo è l’inevitabile risposta della Natura al nostro continuo e cieco attacco agli ecosistemi e all’ambiente. L’essere umano agisce come un virus, un parassita privo di lungimiranza che sta distruggendo l’ambiente sapendo che ciò determinerà la sua fine su questo pianeta. Prima di indossare la mascherina abbiamo sempre avuto un sacchetto di plastica in testa, vivendo in uno stato di falsa incoscienza, in uno stato di apnea. La natura ha battuto un colpo. Ci ha costretto nelle nostre case. Vale la pena considerare un cambio di rotta rapido e deciso sul nostro stile di vita, sui nostri reali bisogni, sulle nostre priorità. Il pericolo è togliersi la mascherina e infilare di nuovo la testa dentro ad un sacchetto di plastica pensando che nulla è cambiato.
Questo progetto nato prima dell’emergenza Covid 19 vuole essere una riflessione sul ruolo che ognuno di noi ha rispetto al cambiamento climatico in atto. Gli attori siamo noi con i volti celati dietro ad un sacchetto di plastica, simbolo dei nostri tempi. La lettura può essere varia: il soffocamento dato dalla plastica che ci circonda, la perdita di identità che ci vede tutti uguali e tutti in parte complici davanti ad un problema globale, ed ancora l’offuscamento della vista davanti ad una realtà in crisi. Il problema da globale diviene personale. Ognuno di noi potenzialmente è libero di agire, di scegliere se e come affrontare quotidianamente la questione ambientale. Ognuno di noi sa cosa deve fare. Ma non lo facciamo. Siamo in attesa che qualcuno la risolva al posto nostro. Quanto ancora potrà durare questa apnea?
Apnea - We are virus
What we are experiencing is the inevitable response of Nature to our continuous and blind attack on ecosystems and the environment. The human being acts as a virus, a parasite devoid of foresight that is destroying the environment knowing that this will determine its end on this planet. Before wearing the mask, we always had a plastic bag on our heads, living in a state of false unconsciousness, in a state of apnea. Nature has struck a blow. It forced us into our homes. It is worth considering a quick and decisive change of direction on our lifestyle, on our real needs, on our priorities. The danger is to take off the mask and put the head back into a plastic bag thinking that nothing has changed
This project born before the Covid 19 emergency aims to be a reflection on the role that each of us has in relation to the ongoing climate change. We are the actors with faces hidden behind a plastic bag, a symbol of our times. The reading can be varied: the suffocation given by the plastic that surrounds us, the loss of identity that sees us all equal and all in part complicit in front of a global problem, and still the blurring of sight in front of a reality in crisis. The global problem becomes personal. Each of us is potentially free to act, to choose whether and how to deal with the environmental issue on a daily basis. Each of us knows what to do. But we don't. We are waiting for someone to solve it for us. How long will this apnea last
